Along with U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, students and teachers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland were also welcomed back by Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade.
Wednesday marked the first full day of school for students since the deadly school shooting on Valentine's Day.
The students originally returned to the Parkland school last week but have been attending classes on a shortened, modified schedule.
