Watch: Trump Promises To Protect Gun Rights At CPAC

At the annual CPAC summit in Maryland earlier today, Trump vowed to protect gun rights.

The comments came just days after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

Trump has pledged to take action to curb school shootings and has suggested letting teachers carry guns to school.

At the same time, President Trump expressed his optimism regarding November's midterm elections.

Trump warned Republicans against complacency and noted that a party in power often loses congressional seats in the midterms.
