Eighteen-year-old Meadow Pollack was confirmed dead Thursday by her family, following the Florida school shooting in Parkland.
She is survived by her parents, Andrew Pollack and Shara Kaplan; her brothers Huck, 22, and Hunter, 29; and grandmother Evelyn Pollack, all of Parkland.
Family members say she enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend. She was planning on attending Lynn University in Boca Raton after her high school graduation.
A friend, Gii Lovito, posted on Facebook early Thursday: “Please say a prayer for the family of an amazing girl I got to call my best friend growing up Meadow Pollack ... her life was taken way too soon and I have no words to describe how this feels. Rest In Peace my beautiful angel you are and forever will be loved.”
Her cousin Jake said Meadow was “an incredible girl” who was cherished by her family. “There was lots of love,” he said.
