The CBC Is Helping Children, Families Cope With Grief And Loss

The Children's Bereavement Center (CBC) of South Florida is educating the public on grief management and recovery following the horrific mas shooting Wednesday that took place at a Parkland, Florida, high school and claimed the lives of 17 victims. 

The CBC provides free Peer Support Groups for children, young adults, and adult caregivers after the death of a loved one. Groups are open to anyone who has lost or been impacted by the loss of a loved one. 

Counselor Mindy Cassel explained to WIOD that it's OK -- it's a good thing -- for students and family members to be "horrifically" upset about what's happened.
