A Valentines Day afternoon that ends in tragedy, when a reported former student allegedly fires on students. It happened at Douglas High School in Parkland. At least 17 have died in this shooting. Over a dozen are injured. 17 have died so far. Three are in critical condition. Over a dozen have been injured. The death toll even greater than the 15 who died in the Columbine attacks. This school shooting is second only to Sandy Hook where 27 died. Broward Sheriff calling the attacks catastrophic. After Governor Rick Scott arrived in Parkland, he said “This is absolutely pure evil.” The only warning was the sound of the fire alarm. One student wondered why there would be a fire drill since they already had one in the morning. Then they heard the shots. Sheriff Scott Israel says that 12 died inside, 3 outside, and two more at the hospital. Shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz, had been expelled, but returned.
