No Bond For Man Accused In Little Haiti Murder

A man accused in a fatal shooting over the weekend in Little Haiti has been denied bond.

Peter Encalada, 33, faces a second-degree murder charge for allegedly killing Don McMillian, as well as an attempted second-degree murder charge over Stephan Williams, a victim who lived.

The fatal shooting occurred Sunday in the area of 5470 NW 1st Place.

Before the bond denial on Thursday, Encalada told a Miami-Dade judge that he must be released to financially support his children.

Encalada's lawyer will attempt to set conditions for Encalada's release until the start of his trial.
