Should Free Speech Zones Be Forbidden On Campus?

A Naples Republican is among conservatives in the state legislature supporting a bill that forbids colleges and universities from creating free speech zones on campus.

Representative Bob Rommel says school administrators should not be allowed to take away what he calls "our God-given right to speak freely."

The bill allows anyone speaking on campus to file suit against the college or university if students protest and disrupt their speech.

It's been approved by the Florida House Civil Justice Committee.
