You May Not Be Happy With The Marlins, But They're Looking Good!

The Miami Marlins' off-season trades of big-name players haven't been popular with fans, but the deals are bolstering the team's minor-league system.

The Marlins are 19th out of 30 MLB teams in "Baseball America's" preseason organizational talent ranks.

That's a big move from just a year ago, when Miami ranked 29th. In fact, it's their highest ranking overall since 2013 (2017: 29, 2016: 29, 2015: 25, 2014: 27, 2013: 5)

Four of the players that the Marlins acquired in the past two months are among "Baseball America's" top 100 prospects.

Currently, the top five organizational talent ranks include:

  1. Atlanta Braves
  2. New York Yankees
  3. San Diego Padres
  4. Chicago White Sox
  5. Tampa Bay Rays
