Rubio Criticizes "Herald" For 'Erroneous Report' On Chief Of Staff Firing

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is criticizing the "Miami Herald's" reporting on the dismissal of his chief of staff.

The Republican announced on Saturday that Clint Reed had been fired over "allegations of improper conduct" with a subordinate... but he had decided not to mention Reed by name.

In a statement issued Sunday night, Rubio claimed that the "Herald" erroneously reported that his office's investigation was hasty and the decision to fire Reed was abrupt.

The senator also criticized the paper for inquiring about details of the improper conduct, saying that information is being withheld at the request of "those who suffered injury."
