Donna Shalala For Congress?

She hasn't announced anything at this point, but signs are showing a possible run for Congress by former University of Miami president (and current professor) Donna Shalala.

She is rumored to be interested in replacing retiring Republican Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

Shalala, 76, is a former member of President Bill Clinton's Cabinet who later served as director of the Clinton Foundation during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The "Miami Herald" reports that voters in the 27th Congressional District have been polled recently about Shalala, who would presumably run as a Democrat.

Fox News reports the domain names DonnaShalala.com and Shalalaforcongress.com were recently registered, although it is unclear whether the move was directed by Shalala.
