Wells Fargo Glitch Drains Some Customers' Accounts, Panic Ensues

Wells Fargo customers may have gone into quite the panic over the past 24 hours -- after the bank announced an issue that emptied multiple customer accounts.

The bank allegedly withdrew automatic payments twice on Wednesday, leaving some with empty or even overdrawn accounts.

As of Thursday morning, the bank said the error had been corrected.

That did little to satisfy angry customers, who blasted the company for causing panic.

Customers who saw their accounts drained overwhelmed the bank’s customer service phone lines, with some saying they waited over an hour to speak to a representative.
