Coral Springs PD Warn Of Snakes In Dog Park

Coral Springs Police say Cottonmouth Snakes were found a the dog park located at the Sportplex on  Sportsplex Drive off of Royal Palm Blvd. 

Officials say the cold weather is causing the reptiles to move to areas within the park to find warmth. 

Humane Unit Officers will be out to survey the area on Thursday to see if there is increased nesting of snakes near the park area. 

Coral Springs Police warns the public that if they see a snake in the park area, to call police at 954-344-1800.

Police officials also want to remind the public to be mindful of their pets when they're walking them.
