Hulk Hogan For Florida Senate....?

Roger Stone – a long-time Republican consultant, lobbyist, and strategist, and onetime advisor to Trump – said he is working on convincing wrestling icon and Florida native Hulk Hogan to run for the office in 2018.

“At a minimum, I hope to convince Hogan to body slam Scott in every debate,” Stone said in an interview. “If [Gov. Rick Scott.] is under the impression that his personal responsibility for $1 billion in Medicaid fraud is no longer an issue, he’s wrong.”

Scott, who cannot run again for re-election due to term limits, is thought by many to likely run for the GOP Senate nomination.

Before serving two terms as Governor, Scott served as the head of Columbia/HCA – a for profit health care provider – before resigning in 1997 after controversy over Medicare fillings. The company eventually admitted to various crimes and paid a $660 million fine, though Scott was never charged with any crimes.

Hogan is a native of the Tampa Bay area, continuing to live near Clearwater after his long career in wrestling and acting.

He has been active in philanthropies in the area, but has never run for public office.
