Officials say that more than 550 pounds of cocaine worth nearly $6.25 million was found on a cargo ship Monday at Miami's seaport.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers made the discovery during a cargo inspection.
Officers allegedly found five duffel bags hidden behind metal tubing. Officers say the bags were filled with 225 packages containing a white powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine.
The drugs were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations.
