The Pembroke Pines Police Department wrangled up more than criminals on Thursday night.
Officer Cabrera responded to a call of a large snake seen lurking near Johnson Street and U.S. 27, to find a (OMG) 12-and-a-half foot long Burmese python.
Somehow, Cabrera was able to secure the giant serpent by himself and transport it to department headquarters.
A licensed python remover then arrived and took the snake away.
On Friday, the department warned residents to not approach snakes, but should call 911 instead.
