The FBI is Hiring

Looking for a career change?  The Federal Bureau of Investigation says they're hiring and looking for diversity.

The Diversity Agent Recruitment Program or DAR is an initiative aimed at increasing the diversity in the FBI workforce.

"We want to better reflect the community we're serving.  So we're looking to get out there and maybe reach people that have never given the FBI a thought and maybe they didn't realize their special skills and abilities are needed by the FBI," said FBI Special Agent Alexis Carpinteri.

FBI's Miami Field Office will host an invitational hiring event February 5, 2018, in Fort Lauderdale.  Participants will be able to talk to current FBI Special Agents, learn about their training, experiences and what to expect if they join the FBI.  

All applicants must meet the minimum requirements:

  • Must be 23 to 36 1/2 years old (some exceptions for military apply)
  • Bachelor degree at a minium
  • At least three years of full-time work experience
  • Valid U.S. driver's license

What recruiters are currently looking for:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)
  • Foreign Languages Critical Languages include: Arabic; Farsi; Chinese; Korean; Urdu and Cambodian
  • Law
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Certified Public Accountants (CPAs)
  • Attorneys
  • Engineers
  • Detective
  • Military (specifically Special Forces, Explosives, WMD and Intelligence Experts)
  • Scientists (lab experience)
  • Foreign Language(s) speakers
  • Pilots (helicopter, fixed-wing)
