A Naples man has 41 stitches in his face after he says he was attacked by a bear.
Andree Meunier, 41, told Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies that he let his dog out around 11 p.m. Tuesday and the frightened dog ran back inside his home.
Meunier walked outside and saw a 4-foot-tall bear standing next to him.
He says he struggled to get away, made it back in his house and called 911.
The attack happened in the area of Dream Catcher Circle in Naples.
Flofirda Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers say they will be searching for the bears in addition to setting up the traps.
