Authorities say a Florida mom left her two young children home alone with an aggressive dog and a shotgun within reach.
Officials say a 3-year-old girl called 911, and even though the dispatcher couldn't understand her, deputies were able to locate her and her brother in an Oak Hill mobile home park.
The motheer, 26-year-old Yajaira Tirado, was arrested Tuesday on two counts of child neglect. She told deputies she left the children alone while she had coffee with a man in another section of the park.
An incident reports says deputies found the little girl looking out the window, still on the telephone. The little boy was in a playpen.
Tirado has since bonded out of jail.
The children were turned over to their father.
