iHeartRadio Announces 2018 Music Awards Nominees

Each year, iHeartRadio celebrates the talented folk that make up the music industry with the iHeartRadio Music Awards. And 2018 is no exception -- LIVE from The Forum in Los Angeles on March 11th, the fifth annual iHR Music Awards will celebrate music's best with 50+ categories including Song of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration and more.

The hit "Despacito" dominated music charts in 2017, but it's still bringing success to Miami's Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee: The artists are the leading the nominee board this year with seven noms each.

A slew of artists are behind the Latin hit makers with five nominations each, including:

  • Bruno Mars
  • Taylor Swift
  • Rihanna
  • DJ Khaled
  • Shawn Mendes
  • The Chainsmokers
  • Ed Sheeran
  • Camila Cabello
  • Khalid

“We’ve expanded the iHeartRadio Music Awards categories each year to ensure it accurately reflects the tastes of the millions of listeners on our broadcast radio stations and on the iHeartRadio app,” said Tom Poleman, Chief Programming Officer for iHeartMedia. “We’ve been thrilled with the response from both fans and artists and we can’t wait to celebrate the year in music by honoring its biggest songs and moments.”

The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards will celebrate the fans, giving listeners the opportunity to decide winners in several new and established categories.

Fan voting will determine this year’s Best Fan Army presented by Taco Bell, Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song, Best Music Video, the Social Star Award, Best Solo Breakout and the first-ever Cutest Musician’s Pet, Best Boy Band and Best Remix awards.
