Florida Theme Parks Close Due To Cold Temps

Several Sunshine State theme park attractions are closing their doors this week due to cold weather forecasts that could bring possible snow flurries to the north and central parts of the state.

Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay will be closed through Friday. Earlier reports suggested it would only be closed through Tuesday, however the impending forecast of rain and dropping temperatures from a cold front stalled over the state will keep it closed through the end of the work week.

SeaWorld’s Auqatica will be closed through Thursday due to the weather.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will also be closed through Thursday, however Disney officials said they would evaluate later in the week if a longer closure would be needed.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently closed for its annual refurbishment at this time and is scheduled to reopen on January 6.
