A Naples man is charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash that left a child critically injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 63-year-old Billy Noel Catherwood was driving a pickup truck at a high rate of speed southbound on I-75 on Wednesday night when he rear-ended a southbound SUV.
The SUV overturned, ejecting two of three young children riding in the vehicle.
A 6-year-old girl remains hospitalized in critical condition. The girl's 10-year-old brother and a third passenger, an 8-year-old, were also seriously injured.
Catherwood's BAC was a 0.15 following the crash, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report.
