Teen Shot In Pinewood, Quick-Thinking Friend Takes Him To Hospital

Quick thinking by a driver may have saved his passenger's life.  

A 16-year-old boy was shot at a Pinewood gas station Thursday.

Officers responded to a Citgo gas station at Northwest 103rd Street and Northwest 12th Avenue.   

Investigators marked at least six locations for bullet casings on the ground at the scene. 

The boy was in a ca when he was shot. The driver of the car, the victim's friend, drove him to the closest hospital.

The victim is now in stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.  

No word on a shooter.
