Man Charged With Stalking: I'll Do Whatever It Takes To Be With Katy Perry

A man arrested in Miami is accused of letting his celebrity fandom go too far.  

Pawel Jurski, 37, was arrested late Wednesday on charges including aggravated stalking and prowling, jail records show.

Police records show Jurski entered a restricted area at the American Airlines Arena where Katy Perry was performing and “attempted to rush toward the stage.”

Jurski, who is in the U.S. from Poland on a tourist visa, told police he has been to at least six of Perry’s concerts in different cities during the past three weeks and has tried to contact her at each stop, the online gossip site TMZ.com reported.

When investigators asked Jurski if he would ever hurt the performer, Jurski said “I will do whatever it takes to be with Katy Perry,” the arrest report said, and the judge accused him of stalking the singer.

The judge ordered him to stay away from Perry’s home, concerts, any place she may be working and not to attempt to contact her by telephone or any third-party means.

Jurski is being held on bonds totaling $34,000 and was also ordered to surrender his passport, court records show.
