Police Forced To Cut Roof Of Car Off Following Crash In Pembroke Park

Authorities were forced to cut the roof of a vehicle off following a major crash early Thursday near Pembroke Park.

The two-vehicle accident happened at 3700 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd.

The other vehicle, an SUV, did not appear to be as badly damaged.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue officials said two people inside the cut-open sedan were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.

Authorities said the driver of the sedan had neck and back pain, while the passenger, who had to be extricated from the car, had chest and pelvis injuries and is listed in serious condition.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
