Former Orlando City Midfielder Kaká Announces Soccer Retirement At Age 35

Soccer great Ricardo Kaká, who left the Orlando City team in October, is now calling it quits on the soccer career.

The 35-year-old midfielder had said at that time he might play again in his native Brazil but he announced on Twitter Sunday that he's "ready for the next journey."

Kaká signed with Orlando City in 2014.

He made his professional club debut at age 18 at São Paulo FC in Brazil in 2001.

The former World Cup champion and FIFA World Player of the Year brought credibility to Orlando's team as it began play in Major League Soccer.
