When to Watch the Geminid Meteor Shower

The Geminid meteor shower is said to be one of the best of the year, and it's happening soon. This year, it will be visible tonight (W) into tomorrow morning (December 14th.)

You'll be able to see the meteor shower in this full glory anywhere in the northern hemisphere, but in the southern hemisphere the meteors will not rise far above the horizon.

Astronomers say the shower will be at its most intense around 2 a.m. Thursday (December 14th), when the sky is at its darkest. At its height, you can expect to see a predicted 120 meteors per hour.
