Marlins Trade Outfielder Marcell Ozuna To St. Louis Cardinals

Just days after trading Giancarlo Stanton to the New York Yankees, the Marlins have reportedly dealt their second best player to the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Marlins will reportedly send outfielder Marcell Ozuna to St. Louis.

MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez says the trade is contingent on Ozuna passing a physical to make the deal official.

Any trade involving Ozuna is expected to bring the Marlins a much better haul than that of the deal that sent Stanton to the Yankees.

Last season, Ozuna hit .312 with 37 home runs and 124 RBI's, all career highs for the 27-year-old who is eligible to become a free agent after the 2019 season.

No other parts of the deal were released.
