Get ready to bundle up this weekend, Sunshine State! South Florida won't be able to escape the cold snap that's about to hit.
After showers and thunderstorms clear out, the National Weather Service says low temperatures are expected to fall into the 40s over most of South Florida this weekend.
An exception is the Lake Okeechobee area, where they will drop into the mid to upper 30s.
Low temperatures will slowly warm up and be in the 50s to 60s by end of next week.
