Police took a security guard into custody Sunday morning, after he allegedly shot another security guard in Hollywood.
Hollywood Police responded to reports of a shooting at the City of Hollywood Water Treatment Plant, along the 3400 block of Hollywood Boulevard, at around 7 a.m.
Paramedics transported a wounded guard to Memorial Regional Hospital with severe injuries.
Another was taken into custody for questioning.
Officers said a dispute between the on-duty guards may have led to the shooting. Authorities say one of the guards fired his weapon and injured the other.
Both guards work for Regions Security and are not employees of the City of Hollywood.
The identities of either guard have not been released at this time.
No other information was immediately available.
