The future of the Coconut Grove Playhouse is still up in the air.
Residents packed the town hall meeting Thursday evening to discuss the future of the historical building. A group of local residents are pushing to keep the historic building intact and running, while several developers are pushing to demolish the inside and make way for new shops, restaurants and even a parking lot.
City of Miami tweeted that Mayor Suarez will honor the pledge by Mayor Regalado to use $10 million of GO Bond funds to restore the Playhouse.
More meetings are expected in the near future.
