Latina entrepreneurs in South Florida have an opportunity to launch careers in real estate.
Dario Collado with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation says they have partnered with Miami-Dade College and Century 21 for the 'Empower Latinas' program to help Latina entrepreneurs in South Florida earn a real estate license for free.
"Being that Latinas are the fastest growing when it comes to small businesses, we feel this is a tremendous opportunity," said Collado.
The initiative will provide 70 scholarships.
"If the individuals [scholarship recipients] pass the Florida real estate exam, they would work with Century 21 to learn how to start their own business within Century 21 and real estate in South Florida," said Collado.
The kick off event is Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus Auditorium.
