A South Florida woman was arrested Wednesday on accusations of administering injections like Botox and Juvederm without a medical license.
Surfside police say 59-year-old Alicia Giser was illegally performing procedures at the Lemel Medical Spa at 9471 Harding Ave.
According to an arrest report, Giser offered to treat an undercover detective's lip area with Juvederm for $750 and offered Botox injections on two facial areas for $525.
Police said Giser was found in possession of one pre-filled syringe of Juvederm, one bottle of Botox and one ampule of lidocaine.
Police said Giser told detectives that she is a licensed dentist in Argentina, but is not licensed to perform medical procedures in Florida.
Authorities said Giser had administered Botox and Juvederm injections to many patients before her arrest. It's unclear whether those patients had any complications from the injections.
Giser faces one count of practicing medicine without a license and three counts of possession of prescription drugs with intent to sell.
