Two South Florida cities have been ranked as some of the worst for singles in the nation, according to a new study by WalletHub.
Out of 182 cities nationwide, Hialeah is ranked at 179, and Pembroke Pines falls just below at 180.
The study ranked Pembroke Pines as the worst in the nation overall for singles gender balance. Miami also made it on the lower end of some survey aspects -- with the fewest online dating opportunities and highest restaurant meal costs.
WalletHub compared 182 cities — including the 150 most populated U.S. cities and at least two of the most populated cities in each state — across three key dimensions:
- Economics
- Fun & Recreation
- Dating Opportunities
Tampa fell just shy of the top ten best cities for cities at 11, and Orlando also ranked well at 27.
Florida was nowhere to be found in the top 5 best cities for love-seekers, which included:
- San Francisco, Calif.
- Atlanta, Ga.
- Los Angeles, Calif.
- Denver, Colo.
- San Diego, Calif.
