Police Search For Suspect Who Shot Victim In Face In Miami-Dade

Police are searching for an armed robber who shot a man in the face over the weekend, leaving him in critical condition.

The shooting happened outside of Tony’s Food Market at 2541 NW 95th St on Saturday.

The shooter can be seen in surveillance video riding up to the victim, who was getting into his car, on a bicycle.

According to police, the suspect demanded money, but due to a language barrier, the victim didn't understand the robber's demands.

The victim, now identified as Diego Suarez-Perez, was shot in the face, but was able to run off. He is being treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma center.

The gunman is described as being 30 to 40 years old, about 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 180 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
