An investigation is underway in the case of a Miami nurse and Miami-Dade Police following a University of Miami football game.
Officials are charging Bridget Freitas, 30, with felony battery on a police officer for her part in the videotaped altercation with the detective. Police say she slapped an officer while being carried out during Miami's win over Virginia Tech at Hard Rock Stadium Saturday.
A viral video shows the officer slugging her in the face with his fist. Miami-Dade police have since released a statement, saying they are examining the video to make sure proper procedures were followed.
