Trump's Mar-A-Lago Is Reopening, But Many Charities Are Running Away...

Trump's Mar-a-Lago Resort is reopening after being closed during the brutal heat and humidity of Florida's summer.

That could mean a frequent round of visits from President Donald Trump.

Last year, he spent several holidays and random weekends through the winter at his Winter White house. However, due to an outcry over remarks he made after a white nationalist rally in Virginia, Mar-a-Lago will host far fewer galas than usual.

Trump blamed the violence that erupted in Charlottesville on both sides:

- on the white nationalists who were protesting the removal of a Confederate statue

- AND on the counter-protesters who opposed them. A counter-protester was killed.

Officials say about 20 charities have already cancelled or moved their events, although a few newcomers are taking their places.
