One person is dead after a car struck a pedestrian Friday morning, along Alton Road in Miami Beach.
According to Miami Beach Fire Rescue, the incident happened along Eighth Street and Alton Road sometime just before 10 a.m.
The City of Miami Beach tweeted that a traffic fatality had shut down the 700 block of Alton Road.
Police have not released the identities of the victim or the driver.
