According to new numbers, Americans are making more money and they aren't shy about spending it.
Personal income grew by four-tenths of a percent in September and personal spending surged by one percent.
That four percent income bump is right in line with what analysts had forecast.
The one percent jump in spending is even stronger than the nine-tenths of a percent the smart money was betting on.
It's also the biggest one-month boost in spending in more than eight years.
And, just for fun, a separate pair of new studies found that the average person spends between $169 and $183 on Halloween.
To put it another way, if you were to boycott All Hallows’ Eve throughout your lilfe, you could save nearly $12,000 by the time you turned 65. And that’s not even including the cavity-fix expenses from all the candy you consumed!
