The nation's unemployment lines are a little longer... but not in Florida!
The Labor Department says first-time claims for unemployment benefits jumped 10,000 last week, to a total of 233,000.
The biggest increases in jobless claims were in:
- Puerto Rico
- Kentucky
- Tennessee
- Vermont
- Wyoming
The steepest declines in claims were in:
- Florida
- Michigan
- Georgia
- Texas
- Illinois
