Watch Out! Fisher-Price Is Recalling Baby Seats Over Possible Fire Hazard

Fisher-Price has recalled thousands of its infant Soothing Motion Seats due to possible fire hazards.

About 65,000 seats are being recalled in the U.S. and Canada. 

The seats were sold at Amazon, Toys R Us, Walmart, Target and may other stores between Nov. 2015 and Oct. 2017.

Fisher-Price has received 36 reports of seats overheating. One even caught fire inside the motor housing, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

No injuries have been reported.

The Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Seats with the following model numbers have been recalled:

  • CMR35
  • CMR36
  • CMR37
  • DYH22
  • CMR39 (Smar Connect Soothing Motion Seats)

Consumers who own the product are urged to stop using it immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a full refund.
