A Key Largo man was arrested Monday night after authorities say he threatened to cut off his ex-girlfriend's head with a knife.
According to authorities, the victim claimed she was parked at the VFW in Key Largo shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday when she heard several loud bangs on the back of her car.
The victim allegedly looked back and saw her ex-boyfriend, 50-year-old Eddy Lopez Jemot with a knife in his hand.
The woman told deputies that Lopez Jemot told her he was going to kill her and cut off her head.
The woman said she drove away and didn't initially report the incident because she was afraid her ex-boyfriend would come after her.
Lopez Jemot was arrested on charges of armed burglary to a vehicle and aggravated assault.
