A Monroe County teen was arrested Thursday, after police say he robbed a couple at gunpoint. Officers are still searching for an accomplice.
George Yeatman, 17, of Marathon, is facing a robbery charge.
Authorities say a couple visiting South Florida from Minnesota was robbed at gunpoint by two people just after 8 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Skipper's Dockside restaurant in Key Largo.
Monroe Sheriff's officers said the woman screamed and slapped at the gun that was pointed at her.
According to the female victim, the robber then stepped back and fired a shot into the ground before both robbers ran away.
Yeatman was found by deputies a short time later, riding a bicycle away from the area.
The victims and witnesses identified Yeatman as one of the armed robbers.
Authorities are still searching for his accomplice.
