Disney Employees Take To The Streets, Demanding More Pay

Walt Disney World employees have taken their demands for more money to the streets.

Hundreds of them showed up for a rally Thursday night at the Walt Disney World Resort's Crossroads entrance, blocking traffic as they marched through crosswalks and chanted, "Disney workers need a raise."

The rally went on for two hours before Orange County Sheriff's deputies broke it up.

Disney employees currently earn a minimum of $10 an hour, but the union that represents 38,000 staff members is pushing for an increase to $15 an hour.

The workers' union is demanding a 37 percent pay raise while Disney is offering an increase of 2.5 percent.

Once deputies showed up, the rally ended peacefully and without incident.
