In the wake of the Equifax breach, WalletHub has released a new study indicating that Florida has the most fraud and related complaints per 100 thousand residents in the U.S.
The Sunshine State also sees the third most identity theft complaints in the nation, according to the study.
Research shows that 2017 is on track to register the highest number of data breaches since tracking them began in 2005.
As of Oct. 10, nearly 8,000 breaches had occurred, representing a 630 percent increase from the previous high of 1,093.
