A former Fort Myers high school basketball star and top college recruit is under fire, after authorities say he is accused of forcing a female friend to have sex with him.
Orlando police say 19-year-old Emmitt Williams was arrested Wednesday and charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment.
They say he admitted to having sex with the victim even after she had told him no.
According to the arrest warrant, Williams went over to the victim's apartment on Oct. 10. When she told Williams she wanted to leave to go pick up her friend, Williams refused to let her leave the apartment.
The victim said Williams imprisoned her against her will. He allegedly began touching her, and she told him she did not want anything sexual to happen between them.
According to the warrant, Williams ignored her, pulled down her pants and raped her, fighting off her repeated attempts to stop him.
Williams is a 6'8" power forward. He was ranked No. 20 in the 2018 ESPN 100.
He is being held on a $3,500 bond.
