A police officer and a wanted suspect are recovering from injuries after gunfire broke out at a biker bar on the Treasure Coast.
Sebastian police say the officer had approached a man wanted for parole violation last night at Earl's Hideaway on Indian River Drive.
Around 10:30 Monday night, investigators say officers received a tip that a wanted suspect was at the bar.
When officers approached, they say the suspect pulled a gun and gunfire was exchanged. The suspect and officer were shot and were taken to the hospital.
Injuries for both are considered non-life-threatening and their names were not immediately released.
The incident is under investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.
