New Improvements Coming To Pulse Nightclub Memorial

A new fence marks just one of the improvements coming  to the Pulse Nightclub Memorial in Orlando.

The city council has approved the upgrades, which also include lighting, landscaping and parking.

Pulse foundation chair Barbara Poma says the memorial will include a new display in honor of the 49 people who lost their lives in the mass shooting at the club last year.

Poma says pictures and names of each victim will be featured at the front of the building.

At the first public memorial planning meeting Monday night, two goals were clearly defined: honoring the victims, and delivering a message about hate, love and diversity.

No final answers were given regarding the design or nature of the memorial, but several speakers expressed the desire to make memorials speak to the future.
