Detectives with the Broward County Sheriff's Office are on the hunt for a Weston man who allegedly abducted his 11-year-old son.
Austin Miller was living with his father, Clay Miller, in Weston on Aug. 7 when Clay was supposed to turn Austin over to his mother, Michelle Granado, according to authorities.
Instead, BSO deputies say Miller chose to flee with the child and has not been seen since.
“I called both Austin’s cell phone and Clay Miller’s cell phone, the father’s cell phone, and they were completely turned off. At that time I knew that Clay Miller was not going to show,” said Grenado.
Grenado lives in California where she was granted full custody. According to a report by WSVN News, she says her son has medical problems.
“Austin’s not in school, and Austin needs to be seen by a urologist because he had a failed kidney and was repaired, so he needs to be seen by a doctor,” she said.
Miller drives a 2008 red Lexus LS460 with a Florida tag reading CRNU75.
He is described as a white male with short brown hair, blue eyes, 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds.
Austin Miller is an 11-year-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He weighs about 80 pounds. and is approximately 4 foot 4 inches.
