Accused Clown Murderer Returns To South Florida To Face Charges

Sheila Keen Warren returned to Palm Beach County late Tuesday night, according to officials. 

Keen Warren is accused in the 1990 shooting death of Wellington resident Marlene Warren. She now faces first-degree murder with a firearm charges.

Detectives say the victim was at her home when the doorbell rang 27 years ago. 

Warren allegedly answered her front door to find a person dressed as a clown, handing her carnations and foil balloons. The clown then pulled out a gun and shot her in the face, detectives said. 

She died two days later.

The 54-year-old suspect was arrested Sept. 26 in Virginina. Keen Warren had been living with husband, Michael Warren, who at the time of the shooting was married to Marlene Warren.

Keen Warren is expected to appear in court Wednesday.
