Gov. Scott Heads Back To Irma-Ravaged Keys

Governor Rick Scott is back in the Keys Friday, to visit the storm-ravaged island chain.

The governor will hold a meeting at 10:30 this morning at Key West City Hall.

He will attend another conference this afternoon at the Monroe County Emergency Management office in Marathon. That one is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Scott toured the Florida Keys on Wednesday, seeing the worst damage that Hurricane Irma inflicted on the state. He said the damage looked very bad from the air -- but that it looked much worse on the ground.

The state agriculture commissioner is also heading to the Monroe County. Adam Putnam, also a candidate for Florida governor, will visit the Emergency Operation Center in Marathon this morning to meet with response officials.
